The Story of Snuggle Soft

Snuggle Soft, the day we brought you home is a day we will always remember.

Our lives were changed for the better 2008 on the 30th of December.

The sounds of meowing kitties as you and Fraggle Rock rode in our car,

It was a wonderful sound like music from a strumming guitar.

It only took you a day to make our house your home.

You showed your sister the way to relieve herself in the Booda Dome.

You claimed your bed in the window and it was your favorite place until the very end.

You loved your pink loofa mouse toy which became your best friend.

You enjoyed belly rubs, they always made you purr.

We loved as you starred into our eyes as we pet your snuggly soft fur.

When it was meal time it was cute to watch you run down the stairs.

When your sister approached your bowl you gave her a warning glare.

We loved when you brought us your pink mouse and dropped it on the floor.

You were proud and happy and your sweet coos we adored.

You were never a lap cat but always sat less than a foot away.

When we got your wand toy or laser pointer out you were always ready to play.

Your pink mouse was loved so much it was ripped and it lost its nose.

When we look at it now we smile because we see you and your angelic glow.

We miss your licks, purrs, kisses and headbutts.

We loved your beautiful meows and kitty cat strut.

We will never know a Tortoiseshell cat as beautiful as you.

Since we've said good-bye, we can't help but feeling blue.

We were blessed to have you with us for 13 of your 15 years.

So many amazing memories and love shared we shed happy tears.

We hope over time our broken hearts will mend.

We will love and miss you Snuggle Soft until the rainbows end.

We know you're watching over the three of us and making sure we're okay.

You told us not to be sad because we all will be together again one day.

Until then Snuggle Soft, please know we miss and love you very much.

Rest in Peace sweetheart knowing our hearts you have deeply touched.

Hades / Goob / Nemo

Hades was adopted after five years of care under Cat NAPS, as one of their longest-to-wait-for-adoption FIV+ cats. He lived for nearly 6 years after adoption, putting his estimated age at about 12. He was a big, beautiful sweet boy who was loved by everyone who met him (even his vets would comment how gentle and kind he was!) He loved to cuddle against his mom and, if dad was lucky, he would lay against him as well. He was incredibly intelligent and was always quick to learn. He loved being outside where he would delight in supervised walks with his parents (he would often wait for them to catch up with him) and he loved playing with a mouse toy while he was upside-down under the couch as “spider-cat”. He would only eat the freshest of cat food, as he was a man of fine taste. Everyone who knew him seemed to develop their own affectionate nickname for him, and while he was most known as Hades, Goob, or Nemo, he also picked up the nicknames “Pumpkin Spice”, “Lumberjack”, “His most lugubriousness”, “My sweet boy”, and many others. Hades will forever live on in the love and memories of his mom, Anna; his dad, Cam; his extended family: Amy, Jeff, Zack, Tyler, Cameron, Addy, and Skittle, and many many others who knew and loved him.

Scampers & Dolly
